15th June 2017 Strong winds and huge swells continue to batter the Cook Strait forcing all sailings to remain cancelled until conditions improve. As a result the disruption in schedules to all inter-island freight over the next 48 hours continues to cause delays. We will keep you posted with any further updates.
12th July 2017 The winter storm making its way up the country from the South has closed road and forced the Ferry Operators to cancel sailings across the Cook Strait. A severe weather warning for the Cook Strait has been issued forcing the cancellation of all sailings from 1700hrs this afternoon through to 0630 on Friday weather permitting. This will mean that all freight scheduled to travel inter-island over the next 48 hours will be delayed. The North Island's State Highway 1 has also been closed due to snow and ice which will mean that all freight in the North Island will have added time to normal transits as they are having to use alternative routes. We will keep you posted with any further updates.
